Work Experiance

Prior to my indexing career, my work experience includes the following:

School librarian: Provided lessons dealing with information and library skills to grades K-6. Provided book talks and other activities to motivate reading; collection development and technical services for the library; collaborated with teachers and parent volunteers. In addition to this, I coordinated the Junior Great Books Program, coordinated the annual book fair, and the library was also automated under my supervision.

Teacher of English as a Second Language, Czech Republic: Taught English as a Second Language to 6th and 7th grade Czech students. Organized an English language after-school club.

Reference Librarian: Performed patron reference services for the Main Library in person and by telephone; assisted patrons in locating appropriate resources and by performing searches of library and outside sources for difficult or obscure requests. Assisted library staff in other community libraries with identification of appropriate resources to  satisfy local requests.
